Big Mac
This post confirmed pretty much every suspicion I had about the current level of inflation. In nearly thirty years the Big Mac has gone from $1.60 to $4.80, reflecting the increasing price of the various inputs that go into producing one. The post gets into some of the “hows” and “whys” (many of which are well known) so I won’t reproduce it here, but of particular interest with the chart is the increasing upward curve at the end of the graph:

Obamacare
Speaking of added inputs, my workplace is currently adding a heap of add-ons to their payroll system to deal with Obamacare mandates. So people at my workplace, who gain no benefit for the law, will take it from both sides in terms of increased healthcare costs and a hidden slice from each paycheck to cover the regulatory side.
Rotting Republic
It used mean that knowing about ‘stuff, would mean something, but no more! The left wing pooch has so totally caught the car that they don’t even feel intellectually compelled to defend their viewpoints anymore, with their justifications boiling down to “mob rule”. Such is the normal course of human history: “I won because I showed up with more people who had guns”.
End Game
No, there is no other payer. Obama has opened the immigration floodgates, but to who? Those stupid enough to think that recreating their unstable homelands in the snow belt is a bright idea? Probably.
