Director Stuff

  • An interface for the sudoku solver I was working on, but put off because the version of Director that I was using is deprecated.

Visual Basic Stuff

• Virus service control
  • A small program that the programmer types use to control the virus scanning services so that they won't interfere with some of their occasional development duties (compiled for use with NAI Vscan 8.0i)
• Proxy log browsing time search
  • A simple program that scans a specified Microsoft ISA/Proxy log and reports back on the browsing time of a specified client (it fits my needs, though I didn't code it to handle all possible exceptions).
• Unlisted VB projects
  • Additionally I have written several text file parsers, mostly with the intention of translating export files to be imported into another system. The project I hope to package a little more cleanly though is a Nortel BCM log processor. I have it essentially rigged to work at this point with a VB log parser, an MS SQL back end and an ASP .NET reporting front end. This is one I'm particularly proud of since Nortel's BCM log format is a bit...horrible. I honestly don't know how one would go about writing a log output program that writes white spaces so inconsistently and it makes me wonder about some of Nortel's other code.
